Blithfield is ten miles from the county town of Stafford, within East Staffordshire Borough and the parliamentary constituency of Lichfield.

The nearest shops are in Hixon and Abbots Bromley, both some two to three miles away from Blithfield parish with a much bigger variety of shops in Uttoxeter, Lichfield, Rugeley and Stafford. The nearest public house is at The Blythe, less than a mile from the northern border of the parish, and there are numerous other pubs with restaurants in Hixon and Abbots Bromley.
